Last time LSU was going to get let miles go there was a lot of chatter about how it didn't look good that the university was spending so much money on football when the university was in such bad shape. You all better just shut it this time.
To paraphrase the University of Alabama President when asked during an interview - hiring Nick Saban "was the single best economic decision this University has ever made."
A good coach isn't going to come cheap and yet - a good coach who can turn this program around can help make a significant economic impact to the school and the community. It will be well worth it. It's just the reality of it....so please - this time, please just shut the frick up and let us get a coach that we can look back on and say the same thing - best economic decision the school has ever made.

Since no tax dollars subsidize LSU football--if that is indeed the case--doesn't matter what condition the university is in.

Yup.
LSU football gives more back to academics than most schools.. especially more than required..
and with the terrible product on the field.. they lose financial support..

Football supports every other sport at LSU. It won't if we get a crappy coach

It looks really bad to fire your coach and then turn around and try and be cheap and not try to improve.

What's really stupid was not firing Les in November. It's costing us the same amount as it would have cost us then AND we've ruined another opportunity. The buyout in Dec was $12 M and now the buyout is $9M BUT we paid Les $3M this year so far and look what we got.
True leaders notice a problem quickly and solve the problem. True leaders don't push the problem down the road because they know the problem won't go away and will cost more than it would have had the problem been solved in the first place.
FKA needs to go And go sooner rather than later because he is a weak leader and created the very problem we have right now.
