His boss, Jimbo, will make the call. Obviously he will get every penny he can out of whichever side Jimbo chooses. It's a no lose scenario and of course Jimmy will leverage both sides, but at the end of the day it's Jimbo's call, not Jimmy's

How is it a troll? I have seen it from both sides as Sexton has used openings to get raises for Saban year after year. Sexton will do what maximizes each coach and all of his coaches in total and he really does not care much of what gets left behind.

I am offering nothing negative. I am just pointing out that what a lot of people think is a done deal has a lot of doing left. I watched RichRod leave Bama at the altar and that was a "done deal".

People don't seem to understand how agents work. They work FOR the coach. Yes he can play games and get them raises if that's what the coach wants. If the coach wants to leave and get paid more then he has to also make that happen. You do realize that Sexton's clients have actually taken jobs at different places before?

Are you in Jimbo's head? Wow, how omniscient to be certain what he is thinking. And while it is Jimbo's decision, he would have to be pretty foolish to not at least hear Sexton out and consider it IF Sexton had a reason to doubt the move was right for Jimbo. Sexton does not represent the number of coaches he does because he offers bad advice and guidance. Now, Sexton may want Jimbo at LSU as it makes sense for Jimbo but I have no idea and NEITHER DOES ANY POSTER ON THIS BOARD.
A handshake is not a deal. Jimbo may be using LSU. LSU may be using Jimbo to cover their real plans. If anyone posting here REALLY was an insider and posted the information then they are really crappy at what they do.
Personally, I think Jimbo is great for LSU if he brings in a good DC and can quickly attract a QB. There would be no wait to make a run at a title.
