I like Glenn a lot, but he has been very shaky on Sunday. His control has been bad on his 2 SEC road starts. Reynolds deserves a shot IMO.

I agree. I think he's earned his shot. I hate it for Glenn but he just hasn't been as consistent as you need.

Really, with the way Nola and Eades have been throwing, our pen is rested enough every Sunday to only ask for 5 from the starter. I think Reynolds could handle that from what we've seen

I don't think it's quite time to give up on Glenn as the Sunday guy yet. He's shown flashes of brilliance and is on the cusp of putting it all together.

One of the reasons I think we can afford to keep this going is that Bonvillain is pretty effective out of the pen. I didn't really like him as a starter all that much, but he's good in long relief.

If we can get 6 innings on Sunday from a combo of Glenn and Bonvillain, we'll be fine. Reynolds can continue to work as the 4th starter.

I don't know who should start on Sunday..but I have never felt comfortable with Glenn. Whether it be Bonvillain, Reynolds, McCune..or whoever...I think we will see a change. A pitcher with control problems is not tolerable

I think Reynolds deserves a shot. Glenn may be better as a 2-3 inning guy, just not a starter

Glenn's issues seem to come when he pitches on the road. So, I propose this: Glenn for SEC home Sundays, Reynolds/Johnny Bullpen for road SEC Sundays.

I'm not saying give up on Glenn. I'm saying give Reynolds a shot. We will need Glenn down the road...

Well the team has some crappy OOC opponents in coming weeks, so I think several different guys should get opportunities to keep improving their game.

I do tend to favor Reynolds simply because he's the new guy who might prove up to the task, whereas I don't think Bonvillain or Glenn are weekend starter types of guys, or else they otherwise would be.

The team might have to end up doing a Sunday-by-committee strategy though. Who knows?

How's Hunter Devall and his back these days?

I'm hoping with two midweek games we'll finally see Taylor Butler on the mound again soon.

So replace Glenn... But the guy batting .175
Gets to stay? I thought we were winning? Best start in history?
Why change?

Fairly certain they are going to redshirt him, so we may only see him 1 or 2 more times if at all.

There are other threads that you can bitch about the hitters in. This is a pitching thread.

They don't give 2nd basemen Ws , Ls, or Saves for a reason...that's why.

I think the intention is to RS Sewald. I don't know if they can still RS Butler. I don't know what the playing time limit is.

I like Bonvillain exactly where he is at, long relief. He was magnificent today.

Agreed. I think that's his niche on this team.

I agree... If there are other options for Sunday starter
then give them a try... With 2 mid week games we need to plug 2 holes in the batting order that are below .200.
What does it hurt to try?
