With all the Negitive thing being said about the mad hater and all the Facts the some off the dumb rantards want to clam to have. I figured its time we give them the Facts:

Who has The Highest Winning % off all LSU Coaches who coached more than one season:

Les Miles 79.3%
Rank Name Wins Losses Ties Pct.
1 Charlie McClendon 137 59 7 .692
2 Bernie Moore 83 39 6 .671
3 Nick Saban 48 16 0 .750
4 Paul Dietzel 46 24 3 .651
5 Les Miles 42 11 0 .793
6 Gaynell Tinsley 35 34 6 .507
7 Gerry Dinardo 32 24 1 .570
8 Mike Archer 27 18 1 .598
9 Bill Arnsparger 26 8 2 .750

Bowl Wins:
Name Bowl Wins
1 Charles McClendon 7
2 Les Miles 4
3t Nick Saban 3
3t Gerry DiNardo 3
4 Paul Dietzel 2

Can it be Les has more Bowl wins than the mighty Saban!!!!

SEC WEST TITLE'S
Saban 2
Miles 2

Sec Championship
Paul Dietzel 2
Bernie moore 2
Nick Saban 2
Les Miles 1

National Titles:
Paul Dietzel 1
nick saban 1
Les Miles 1

Out off Conferance Record:
Les Miles 20-0
Nick saban 11-4

So there are the facts. I am sure we are going to here he won with Sabans players. Well i guess saban won with Sula's players and Myers with Zooks players. The fact is Mile is turning out to be so far one of the greatest coaches in our history. If he continues the way he is going we should be thankful. I don't know about you but i remember the denardo & hallman days. Let enjoy having a good coach who seems to want to stay. But if the fan can't show confidence in him why should he. Think abou the dinardo days and Hallman days before u start saying we need a new coach because we didn't blow someone out.

All good points. I think most, including myself miss Sabans bone crunching defense. It took a little while to come together but it was a thing of beauty. Most LSU fans want a dominant D rather then a gunslinging offense. While both is nice I'll take the D. When Saban was here opposing QB's knew they were in for a long night. They usually spent most of the night on thier arse while our D's of late SEEM passive and reactionary. To hell with Saban for leaving and praise to Miles for staying but I, along with most want a better defense.

our teams have won in spite of the coaching, how can the same team play so great in ATLANTA and play so sorry in BATON ROUGE,the ALABAMA game 2008, the OLE MISS game 2008, the ARKANSAS 2008, then we go and stomp GEORGIA TECH, the difference was that the players committed to winning at all cost, the coach is responcible be for directing the team in all games not just the bowl games

This sums it up right here...Although I think we are going to get on the right track I just think Malveto did more harm to the squad than we anticipated. The Defense was there to make a play it was just that they could not wrap. If they would have made the tackles that first scoring drive would not have occurred.

Les Miles is to LSU what Barry Switzer was to the Dallas Cowboys.

Thanks for repeating all of the old arguments from 2007. No one here gives a crap about Saban vs. Miles., we want a defense that doesn't look like last years, some creative offensive playcalling, and a team and coaching staff that look and act like they want to be winners.

Posters on here used to defend Smoke Laval by posting he had the highest winning percentage of all the SEC coaches at the time. Not sure what your statistics mean when talking about the level of play on the field over the last 2 years.

Your arguement sounds much like mine when I was still defending Dinardo midway through his last season.

Miles is 43 - 11. 11-2 in 05', 11-2 in 06', 12-2 in 07', 8-5 in 08'.With all those stats you seem so damn proud of, one thinks you might get his record here straight! Anyway, this year will tell the story on Miles as far as I and many are concerned. Remember Larry Coker? But unlike Coker, Miles can recruit, which in a way, if Miles does still falter, it looks that much worse since he still had damn good players! I hope we get it going great again, but I just don't know, and who the hell does?

i think what most people are concerned about is we won 8 games last year and thought things would be different this year on the defensive side of the ball....Saturday night it looked a lot like games we all witnessed last year, leading to the 8 win season....concern is we have another year like that and a spiral downward begins. FYI if the mad hatter goes 7-5 this year his winning percentage will go down from 79%

That was my point. The level of play and the record over the last 2 years has declined, that's a fact.
I'm comparing the present situation in footbal to when people could see Smoke had lost it but posters on here kept on spouting all this statistical nonsense. Not saying Miles is following the down this same path, yet, but the rest of this year will give some indication.

Can you name the current SEC head coaches Les has a winning record against? Hint, there are only two.

We had a great run this decade. It was our decade. The next decade belongs to Bama and Florida. I think Saban is committed to Bama for at least 5-6 more years and they will be tough as nails as a result. Back to 8-4 or 9-3 for LSU. Get used to Orlando, Dallas, Tampa and Atlanta in the post season.

MrLSU2001. Is this post because you are trying to say Les Miles is better than Saban.
