All those old dorm rooms in Tiger Stadium would make
great GameDay condos for tiger fan$. I understand that there are asbestos issues but with all the millions thrown around these days, it's doable. Let tiger nation fund the project in return for a long term lease. Is this idea feasible, or a pipe dream? That's a lot of prime party space!

I thought that they ripped them out recently? There was a construction update thread and something was mentioned that the dorms (at least some of them) are gone.

Asbestos abatement made remodeling impractical. They are supposed to be tearing them out for concourse improvement

I think if it was possible then it would have been done. Especially these days where they squeeze every dollar out of the fan base they possibly can.

Anyone who has ever been in one knows they are too small, no plumbing and no air conditioning. Add the asbestos problem and it makes remodeling these dorms impossible to justify. Basically, they would have to demolish and rebuild.

I just hope whatever they plan on doing in the south end with the dorms removed is geared towards all the fans, not just a few rich cats. Beer garden, food court, etc.

Asbestos, outdated utilities, low ceilings, no AC.

Just tear em out. Just like what they did in the south end one.

Exactly. What is there for the fans? Overpriced foam fingers outside the stadium. That's what.

I have always thought the same thing Some people live in a box of negativity and will tell you 1000 reasons why something can't be done.
No imagination.

It's simple math.

Cost of construction.
Demand
Price

If it's a money maker then it can be done but if not you can't do it.

Give LSU time. If there's a dollar to be made, they'll figure a way to take advantage.

They would have had to demolish and rebuild completely. Prob talking about a 500 million dollar project. You know how long it would take them to break even? Not to mention the logistical and security nightmare
