Sounds like you must be one of those fans that talks a lot of crap when LSU is on top and can't take it when it comes back around. As for LSU being a laughingstock, I just agree and remind d them if LA's political histiry.

That's what I get here in Houston as well. Most of the Aggie fans would rather Les than Sumlin right now.

I live in Houston as well and I know this will sound negative, God forbid, but I work with folks from every imaginable University in the country and are pretty knowledge, non-reactionary fans and honestly there is not much positive being said about our program.

it's amazing how 99% of the media and college football fans know nothing about LSU but the people that want Miles fired have it all figured out

Live in ATL metro. These people are consumed with Richt firing and if Herman or Kirby Smart will be there HC. Nobody has said much to me about LSU and I don't care. I don't get may feathers ruffled when UGA'ers talk smack and not many do to me. What I find more nauseating is Bama, Aubies and Ole Pissers who now live in this area. I have two Gump friends. One NEVER talks smack and the other does around game time. But he does that to everyone. Either way, let children be children.

I think the laughing stock thing and receiving the taile end of smack is over blown. Its about what kind of fan you are. I never talk smack and not even in 2011. It would have been easy for me when we beat UGA in SEC CG. But, I did not do it then nor in 2003 when we beat UGA twice. The local Dawgies did not get any smack from me because I am not way. Handle yourself appropriately and there will be too much smack go your way if anything wrong happens to LSU:).

Everyone at my club didn't understand why LSU people wanted to fire him. I just told them "...it's about statistics" and to read the article that Jeff Duncan and Ron Higgins wrote last week if they really wanted to know.

By the way, I told everyone it was a done deal so I have to face that crap now.

My family are all Clemson and Alabama fans.

They wanted him to stay for obvious reasons.

Then they laughed even harder when we kept him and made an entire shitshow just to keep mediocrity.

Now they are wanting lsu to extend les to 2025 and create a $30 million buyout to make the horror show happen again

Hate to say this but your family members sound like jerks who are bandwagoners and not objective. BTW, who cares what they think.

I'm in Houston, I hear all year from all sorts of fans about how good we would be if we got rid of Miles. I always defended Les.

Now I'm just hearing that we should have handled it like Georgia.

I haven't heard anyone say we were crazy to want him gone.

Local radio here was blasting LSU past two weeks for everything.

Of course the 14 UNLV fans were excited for the 3 wins this season and felt they improved from last year. So to them firing a coach that consistently wins 10 games a year is crazy talk to them.

Not from out of state, but all my friends who are fans of other teams actually believe we are contenders, it amazes me.

Had an Aggie kid me about firing or keeping? Aggies are just used to losing. They would love to have LSU's record.

I am in an office in Houston full of aTm grads. They can't believe that LSU would be stupid enough to fire Miles and compared a move like that to Texas. These guys would love to have the success that LSU has had over the last decade.

What I'm getting is that keeping Miles was a move like Texas.

had a colleague of mine that is a UT alum said LSU fans are turning into Sooner fans with the talk of firing Miles for being "mediocre".

Houston here. In my opinion, the Aggies respect Les. Frankly, they like Les more than Sumlin right now. Under Sumlin, TAMU used to have a bad defense and great offense. They don't even have the great offense anymore.

In Texas, they are laughing at the stupid fans/admins that wanted to fire Miles. I didn't get one text (and I got a lot) from a partial observer that thought that firing Miles was a good idea. Overwhelming majority of the texts were in total disbelief. All of the college teams in Texas would kill for our success over the last 12 years and all of them would hire Miles in a minute based upon his record.

In Fayetteville. Hog fans I know, hope we never get rid of Miles. I hope Miles can now make them change their minds.

I'm in Alabama, what do you think? The response to LSU keeping Les is like the Gumps finding out they got Vandy on their schedule.

Many of the college Alumn I work with said all along that we were foolish to even want to get rid of him. I work with people who graduated from CU, USC, Washington, Texas, Nebraska. All of them beg for the better days. They think the handling was odd, but agree that he should be staying.

Hell, I graduated in the late 90's from LSU. It wasn't good.

The grass isn't always greener.

This....They are mostly upset with their own programs to worry about LSU. I did have a good time with some of my aTm friends this morning though.
