Why would you not call a couple timeouts with UNC on the 6 and your best player hydrating on the sideline?? The D really looked to have the "want" for a break.

Yea, I thought it would have been nice to get PP back in.

Why give the UNC players a rest?

I wouldn't want to give the other team the chance to settle down and scheme a play against you.

A defensive time out there would have been a huge mistake in my humble opinion.

UNC was out of timeouts ... why give them more time to draw up a play.

But hey, fans always know best ...

They were playing pitch and catch with us. It didn't matter if they were rested or not imo. "Just run a slant, LSU can't stop it"

I was thinking we needed a TO there but in hindsight I agree with the other posters. Why allow them to scheme a play.

I would have liked to see some zone blitzes. Last time I checked, that is how you avoid getting beat by slants over and over and over.

In other words, Fire Butch Davis!!! He lost the game for UNC by making stupid decisions!

In this case, the fans are right. The clock was stopped because Peterson was injured. Also, the clock stopped after the next play when the tight end ran out of bounds. A time out there might have helped to settle the defense down.

Both of there last two plays in the endzone should have been caught for touchdowns. They kind of stopped themselves there by not catching the football.

Looked also like it could have been called for pass interference. We were very lucky there to get the W.

No, they're not. UNC still has a play clock to deal with rather than a full time-out. If Miles had called a time-out and UNC scored, the Rantards would have been complaining that he gave UNC a chance to regroup.

It's clear to me that Miles is in a no-win situation here. The Rantards want his head and will find anything and everything to complain about.

The clock running was more important you freaking moron. Why give NC a break?

You are absolutely correct. I have to take up for MIles on this one. Herbstreit would have had an asthma attack and passed out if Les had called a timeout.

Well, then Davis must go. That is what the HC is supposed to do, right? Make sure they catch the ball?

Sounds like you are sorry we won. You are a fool and an arse.
