My favorite line so far was on one of Fournette's 50+ yard runs. It went something like, "Fournette around the left side, follow him on Twitter cause you're not going to catch him...." Found a clip of it

That was my favorite! I like how he paints a verbal picture of what's going on. I also like that he comes on the local radio station here in northeast Louisiana and does a show with our local radio hosts. We never got that before and he does a great job breaking down what he has been seeing at the games. He has great sports knowledge and insight as well as a great call voice.

Wish he would not fall into the same trap as Hawthorne and not update time/score more often. You never know when a listener will join a broadcast and you should want them to be to understand exactly where things stand in a relatively short amount of time.

His "Touchdown Tigers!" sounds so fake it hurts.

I personally do not care for his style. He has no true enthusiasm and it is just obvious.

I like him. He still seems a little raw in spots but over all he is very good.

He seems a bit disconnected in his broad casts because it was his first year. I believe he will improve and continue to improve throughout his tenure here. I like his broadcast seems to tell things as they are happening on the field to where you can understand them. Just give him time and I believe he will do fine. The one not that I have on him is that he is not as impassioned as Jim Hawthorne was... but once again I believe that will come with time and getting acclimated to the LSU Tiger football and LSU Tiger Athletics. It was his first year and a big-time job for him to come into also while feeling big shoes. I believe he will continue to improve and next year at this time we will be saying how good of a play-by-play he is

How about a good ole "goddamnit! sonofabitch!!"

Oh shite, I forget it's radio. But that's what we saying when listening to a game or watching the game.

Said that a shitload during Miles' tenure - particularly on 1/9/12.

His turd polishing skills are superb. During the A&M game he was talking about how we weren't showing any quit when we cut A&M's lead to 29 pts.

Don't like his style. There are some guys that just bother me on how they call the big shot. A younger Hawthorne in 80's-90's basketball and baseball was outstanding. I didn't listen to too much football in the 90's.

since the radio stations refuse to sync their broadcast with the television broadcast.

I'm very curious as to why this is, please excuse me if it's a dumb question (which it probably is), but I've never heard anyone really explain why they don't. Would it be too technically difficult? I have tried watching the games with the mute on and listening to the radio broadcast, but it just drives me up a wall.

Yes! I remember listening to the 2012 reg. season game against Alabama while driving home, and during a drive in the third quarter when Mettenberger was starting to get hot, Hawthorne referred to him twice as "McCarron."

We've been down 30 the last hour and Blair just said "now things getting out of hand". He's the anti-Hawthorne who couldn't ever hide his negativity when losing.

Hawthorne style:
"45,40,35,30,25,20...He's taking it to the HOUSE!!"

The Moreau/Hawthorne/Rush conversation filled in all the analysis. I actually preferred Hawthorne to twitter gimmicks and attempts to be revelant that Blair uses (its radio after all... and never going to be popular again).

I also don't like hearing 'Welcome to the Jungle' and the midnight church bells instead of the tiger band either. Just another sign that LSU is losing its character. Along with the overuse of the geaux font, the "paint" not being painted at the PMAC, the camera being upside at basketball broadcasts, having four different football uniforms instead of two, the new helmet logo cheaply reproduced all over everything, the fauxbacks, three doors down and the tiger cage being empty.
