I love your passion for lsu basketball. But. You started your post by blaming the crowd for the loss. Up yhours. These guys should have won last night in front of 20 people.simmons is an overrated basketball player. It's as simple as that. He's good but not great as everyone thinks. Lsu will never go after a big money coach in basketball. Fact. You are gonna have seasons like this from now on. Blame jones all you want.

I have actually heard Johnny talk about pushing tempo and that he encourages quick shots to force the pace of the game. Especially against teams that like to slow it down. It forces more of a frantic pace.

Now whether or not you agree with it is another question. But he does encourage this

I think this is correct.

, but you come into a thread and call me out by name...well, I'm not gonna say what that tells me about you (yes, that was a shot)

I certainly did.....because you and Camp and Tommy are on here constantly extolling the virtues of this team and CJJ and telling what you think this team is gonna do in a given game. That's great.....I got no problem with that. You're entitled to your opinions, just like everyone. But the minute someone points out a flaw about the team/coach, even if they are not talking directly to you, you guys go into attack mode and make it personal. You're gonna get called out when you do that....just like some call out the negas when we win.

It would be an awkward lineup without a true point guard

TQ isn't really a point guard

I think our best starting lineup right now would be Patterson, Hornsby, Blakeney, Simmons, Victor

Quarterman shouldn't start.

It is so damn frustrating because we see flashes of brilliance from the guy. But he has played 3-4 bad games in a row now. This team goes as he goes.

Quarterman is the sole problem.

I said this last night: Quarterman shouldn't start. It's not worth it to hope that this is the one time out of ten that he's gonna have an awesome game.

It's gotten to that point. Dude has a nice stat line over the course of the season, but it's just not transitioning to consistent success on the court for our team.

He should come off the bench for the rest of the season.

Nicely done, Butt. I don't think I can disagree with much if any of that.

I, honestly, can't wait until quarterman is gone. Dude plays like a selfish a-hole most of the time that he's in the game. So frustrating to watch.

first foul on victor put one of the three guards on the bench in the game.

Pray we dont suck

He shot 8 three pointers last night.

I'm at the point where I hope he plays well to end the season, not just because it would help the team, but because it would mean there's a better chance he leaves after this season.

Culotta was alluding to something about TQ hanging out in NBR at another campus, assuming he meant SU. What's that all about?

Serious question: if Ben Simmons, instead of being the no. 1 recruit, was no. 100, what would we think of him, based solely on what we've seen on the court?

Would we say he's the consensus no. 1 pick in the NBA draft? Would we even say he's a 1-and-done?

No doubt he has areas where his skills are phenomenal, but others that aren't good. I realize the NBA drafts on potential, but if he didn't come in with all the hype, what would we think of him, seeing what we've seen?

I know we love our guys that wear the purple and gold, but try to look past that and give an honest reply.

and we're one of the lowest paid jobs in the SEC, but the fans are pissed because we are a bubble team.

its also a fan base that deems an 8pm start too late to show up for, or its too cold out, etc. So maybe this is about the best we can hope for. If the fans make the sport a priority, maybe the AD will.
