If you keep the game close you give the SEC HQ refs the opportunity to determine the outcome. Don't let "bug-eyes" control the game.
You go out, step on a teams throat, execute, and the refs and any improper calls just fade away.

Super clueless LSU homer fans can't handle this kind of truth........ They are always full of excuses... Hey I want LSU to go 11-1 every year and make the playoffs...BUT I realize that is just not gonna happen......

Please spare me the I don't know while defending your beloved Alabama.....there were many articles written about that call from some of the top CFB writers....all questioning it.
Well....then....if their were articles written, it must be true. Get over yourself already.
We blew it....again....plain and simple.

People forget how young Jennings and wr's were. I still believe he can be a solid college qb. I just hope harris gets it together because he can be the next college version of Michael Vick

The most telling thing to me about Chavis was a quote by Martin after that game
He said that they couldn't get the play calls in fast enough, are you fricking kidding me? Do you not prepare for 2 minute defense?

Saban and his staff are better than ours.... drop the MiC!

While the refs didn't beat us, that very bad unsportsmanlike penalty on 2nd and goal surely didn't help us. Pushed us back to settle for a field goal allowing Bama to go down and tie with their own field goal.
If they have to score a TD instead of a field goal I believe the outcome is different.
Regardless, we should not have been in that position.

I thought Cam called a great game on offense. That was the only way we could win. The defense was great all game except for the last 2 minutes and OT. But, it was in 2012 also but had the exact same result. Chavis' def is very good but entirely too predictable against 2 min offenses. OC's know exactly what to call against him.
And Chavis' defenses were bad against the spread also. We got consistently gashed up the middle on read option.

Bama almost doubles us in yardage, we don't have 100 yards rushing...they almost had 200. They had almost 300 yards passing, we had like 150.......they won the TOP by a few minutes.
Statistically we got beat, on the scoreboard we got beat...we got beat.
And LSU fans, by a large margin reference that as some great disservice served by the refs.
We had 20 more penalty yards called against us. That is it. Ingram ran for 144 yards.

It's amazing how Chavis is now the scapegoat for all our problems since he's not here anymore. Bama has scored 41 total points in its last 2 trips to BR but it's Chavis fault we lost.
If your offense can't score at least 20 points in this day and age of college football you don't deserve to win

This assumes we could have scored more point but deliberately held back...
Do you see how silly that sounds...

Ducre is a big RUNNING BACK. He's NOT a blocking FB in the Connor Neighbors mold.
High School RB's that carried the ball a lot, DO NOT want to come into college and converted over to be blocking fullbacks that never touch the ball. If the LSU staff try to do this with Ducre, he'll get frustrated and wind up transferring out. He could do a lot of damage carrying the ball and catching passes out of the backfield, but would be totally wasted as a Neighbors type blocking fullback.
Last time I looked, John David Moore was listed as the starting
Like always, you don't know what you are talking about. Ducre was listed as the #1 FB and he knew that was what LSU signed him up for mostly. Guy could have went to several other places and been the #1 RB commit for them, yet he came to LSU and was listed behind both Guice and Brossette in the rankings with Fournette and Williams already on campus.
Now I agree 100% that we shouldn't waste his rushing talent, and that it's more likely that JDM and Mouton would play FB over him, but don't think for a second that he didn't know that he was a FB commit.
