The playoff system that everybody is clamoring for will be expanded to eight, then to 16 teams, and regular season games will become about as important as it is in college hoops and college baseball.

Wow. So you consider a team beating three teams that were better than 6-6, with one of those teams ending the season at 7-5, as having a top-tier schedule.
Really?
Because that was what Bama was rewarded a trip to the NCG for in 2011. Their three wins over above .500 teams were Penn State, Arky and 7-5 AU. LSU beat two of those teams.
That's not a weak schedule in your mind? That 2011 Bama schedule is VERY similar to what FSU and OSU are sporting today....

Suppose you have a situation like last year, with a #1 Bama beating #4 UGA by 5yds for the SEC title in an extra game. Youre gonna penalize UGA for having to play the extra game.
