This year we see what Miles is really made of

Since he's been here he's either relied on a good offense or a great defense. He always had one to lean on. Mostly its been D, keep the game close, slow things down and hope you're in a position to win it late. Last year it was a little different, the D was down but our offense strived an out scored people.
Well this year it appears we have no crutch and this coaching staff will earn their pay. It's going to be on the coaching staff to coach these kids up, put in wrinkles, or find kids who give us the best chance to win.
I can promise if we move forward with this personnel and game plan all year we'll lose 5 or more games.

Yeah, I mean after a freakin' decade, we still don't know what we have with Les. He's an unknown commodity

If that's not an indictment then I don't know what is.

Call it a strategy?

Ok so he can adjust. I guess that's good?

Thanks captain obvious.

So you're telling me that we're going to miss the QB, 3 WR's, and 2 RB's that were on the roster last year but are now in the NFL?

What does it mean to loose a game?

if miles thinks he's going to run over SEC teams with his current personnel, it's going to be a 5-7 loss season

ironsides...be a dick why dont you
I agree with the OP that Miles is in a predicament we dont' see him in often. He is going to be forced to do some things he doesn't like to do if we are going to succeed going forward....a true frehman at QB? Opening up an O that is littered with young players he has to learn to trust? I am a huge Miles supporter and I have never been in a situation where if he doesn't change things soon...i'm off the Miles bandwagon. Well, that has happened after Saturday.

Agreed, but I do think this D can be better than 08 and we definitley have some freshman talent that we did not have in 08. So, if we are lucky...8-4?

One game changed your entire opinion? Against a good Mississippi State team?
Why did this not happen after the Troy game a few years back? You had his back then?
What I will say, is that the SEC West has never been this stacked.

So, if we are lucky...8-4?
Tall order if Saturday's performance even approximates a reflection of this team's abilities.

my bad cocks, lose.
Yes it has been 10 years and 5 out of 10 "fans" hate Miles. What do we know? If he was a great coach or flat out horrible coach wouldn't that number be more like 80/20 or 70/30.
The label on him is he brings in great talent and wins despite his blunders, but what will happen when the talent level is not as good as its been. How many games can he win purely on outcoaching opponents.

I think weve seen it. 2005, 2012.
2012 the team was decimated yet we managed to win 10 games with another shite offense. I recall UGA and UF not being able to sustain the attrition we did through injuries and suspensions. UF game we had 22 players out after the injuries racked up that game.

Truly one of the worst threads of all time.
And recycled from 2005, 2010, and 2012 no less.

I'm in the same boat. I've always liked miles, but the bowl loss to Clemson after the 2012 season really shook my faith in him for some reason. 21-0 was bad, but I still had faith that he was the right guy at that time. Last year was a nice change with the O, but I was still slowly losing faith in him. This loss has just about pushed me over to the "fire miles" camp.

I knew what Miles was made of back in 2005 in that overtime lose to Tennessee. I saw a coach that is too conservative, and will wilt under pressure. Over the years I have seen a coach the refuses to play his best players, and often plays down to lesser teams. How many games has Miles lost because of his on willingness to change? How many coaches are like this? How many other college teams run an offensive scheme like LSU? Answers to these questions are Many,1,and none.

The 21-0 did it in for me.
Still waiting for Miles to win a National Championship with his own players. Waiting.................

Maybe he should field a defense that can get off the field on 3rd and long.
