he was choice #1 but he didn't want to come he wanted to go to his dream school remember. please move on from the herman thing. lol coach o will be fine. O has managed to hang onto a top 5 recruiting class during a coaching change, which is unheard of.
Just for reference, when Saban left LSU only signed 13, recruits were jumping ship. O currently has 18 committed, looking to close with 25-28, gonna be a fun next few weeks

I'd say there isn't anything worse right now for recruiting than the segment of LSU fans (if that's what you can call them) running down the coach and preaching doom and gloom, instead of backing the coach and giving him a chance at being successful.

Yeah, you're right. Orgeron's reputation is that he can't recruit....oh wait!...never mind.
Not to mention that the person in charge of finding players to recruit, Director of Player Personnel, is considered one of the best in college football. Remember how excited the board was when Austin Thomas changed his mind and came back to LSU?

As someone posted elsewhere, he was a strong recruiter persuading blue chips to come and play for Jimmy Johnson, Pete Carroll, Les Miles, etc.
Now he has to convince recruits to come and play for Ed Orgeron.
