He reminds me of Matt Mauck and Matt Flynn. Those two guys weren't All-American's but they managed the game, learned the playbook and didn't turn the football over.

Scott will not come in and take the job away from Etling. It's Etling's job to lose. There are plenty playmakers around Etling for him to lead this team to 10-11 wins.

One qb has tied the record for tds passes in a season and the other was the qb for one of the most productive offenses in lsu history. Danny etling isnt as talented as either of those qbs.

Just keep doing Mauck a disservice like that.

I hope you're right. I would use Scott like they used Perriloux.

Etling doesn't quite have the arm talent that those guys had, especially Flynn.

He does share some other characteristics those guys had, like good decision-making and decent escapability. We'll win some games, yea, but I just don't see us returning to championship level behind Etling.

Now Brennan ... you're going to like what you see out of him.

If Brennan is even close to etling then Brennan needs to start.

Narcisse has a better shot that Brennan....all these dudes in love with Brennan need to realize that the only guy built to play qb in 2017 from 2017 recruits is Lowell.

Its not even close actually.

Brennan definitely needs to add muscle before he hits the field in the SEC. He has all the makings of a great QB in a spread system though.

Narcisse JR needs to work on getting back into shape. He's a beast of an athlete that can do it all if he stays healthy.

A redshirt year benefits both physically and we have a 5th year senior returning as the starter. 2018 will be their year to compete for the spot.

Did the NFL eat up Doug Flutie?.. Does the NFL eat up Drew Brees or Russel Wilson?.. seems like they are all doing and did just fine in a league a lot harder than the sec.
