Hot off the press, Donte Jackson should see time returning both kickoffs and punts this week against Ole Miss.
Orgeron to put Jackson in new ST role

Tre has a habit of trying too hard and reversing field. But I trust his hands and experience more. I dunno. Kinda wish we'd just stick with 18 for now.

What? Tre white is amazing CB don't get me wrong but he juggles the ball every time it is caught and falls down catching it 80% of the time

Wish this would have been tested against Southern Miss instead of Ole Miss.

It seems that he has as good of a chance to muff the punt as he does to return it for a TD.

Didn't Donte return punts @bama last year?

Caught some with the coverage team bearing down on him and did fine

Orgeron is trying to show the brass he has the coconuts to be the head honcho at LSU. I like it, he is impressing me. And all the crap I used to give Peveto, which was a lot on this board, maybe he isn't aa bad a coach as I thought maybe this was all Miles doing which we do know the corner kicks were.

Give me a guy who doesn't fumble once - very tough position to be perfect in that regard - feast or famine sometimes if the player is too aggressive or not aggressive enough in fielding the ball in traffic - I was much more concerned last year but he's been pretty damn solid - tracking down low soccer style runners is much harder than you think - I know from experience.

He should definitely be back there when we need a sure catch (fair catch) or we're receiving a punt deep in our own territory without the likelihood of a return.

I know its a small sample size, but the flashes hes shown at KR I am ok with this move. I agree with others though, Donte better have shown over a period of time in practice he can catch punts because as bad as Tre can be at fielding, locating the ball he doesn't seem to muff them much.

I think we all agree, if DJ gets the rock and some space it'll turn into a track meet.

I wish they would give him a few offensive touches (jet sweep here or bubble screens) like USC does with Adoree Jackson.

How many has he muffed? He's been amazing this year.
