1. Miss State had more total yards than LSU
2. Miss State had more time of possession than LSU
3. Miss State had more first downs than LSU
4. Miss State played alot closer to LSU than many people are giving the credit for.

To rob a line from all the rainbow sniffers a few weeks ago, had our defense not been lights out (our defense is old school this year ) and gotten those 5 interceptions we could possibly have been talking about a loss today.

In the first half, 2 of those interceptions came as the result of completely stupid decisions by the Miss State QB, like throwing to a player covered by 4 LSU defenders when he could have ran a yard for the first down (or Miss State could have kicked a FG). The same type of decision making killed Miss State's next drive. For example, had they played closer to the vest in the first half it would have been 6-6 going into half-time.

I think once we play a good team that isn't stupid with the ball, we will see some craziness on this board.

WOW! I love watching all these idiots finding negatives in a 29-7 SEC victory especially when I read so much about how State was going to win.

Stop bitching and enjoy the win!!!

1. LSU had 22 points more than MSU
2. LSU had 22 points more than MSU
3. LSU had 22 points more than MSU
4. LSU had 22 points more than MSU

re: Defense - You morons are acting like our defense playing lights out is some kind of dumb luck on our part. It isn't.

1 lsu had short field position most of the night
equals = less yardages, less time, less 1st downs

MSU never threatened in this game dumbass...

LSU Punted 1 freaking time the whole game....

The offense went 3 and out on 1 drive, and even that ended in a score.....

I love LSU but our fan base is really starting to get ridiculous.

ETA... you apparently didn't add return yards in your equations

They had to go farther down the field to score.

2. Miss State had more time of possession than LSU

They actually did run more than us, believe it or not. Besides this could be the most over rated stat in the history of stats.

3. Miss State had more first downs than LSU
Again, we CONSTANTLY had a shorter field to march down.

Bull shite. I watched that game with my own eyes. Miss State was completely outclassed.

SO is your argument really that if it hadn't been for LSU stellar play, Miss State would have made it a closer game? IS THAT YOU ARGUMENT? Brilliant.

Seriously....MSU had more yards because we had a short field to work with all night thanks to our D. Which, also effects time of possession and since we had a shorter field, less opportunity for long drives and more first downs.

And no....MSU didn't play us that close. Our defense forced mistakes and put MSU into positions to make bad plays.

Last I checked...football is a team sport made up of an offense, a defense, and special teams. All working together to win. That's what has been happening the past 3 weeks. WINNING.

did you even watch the game...if anything it was the opposite of this...they only threatened to score the one time the actually did...we had 5 FGs, turn even 2 of those into TDs and we win 37-7...it wasnt even close dog.

You mean it can get more crazy than bitching out an O that scores the 1st 7 times it has the ball and wins by 22 over an SEC team when it was favored by a TD????

That is pretty crazy for sure.

MSU worked hard for nothing. I'll take working smart and doing as little as possible, after all, that's what i do as an attorney in solo practice.

Because LSU got so many turnovers on short field, and LSU special teams helped too.

Miss State had more time of possession than LSU

Again, short field.

quote:

Miss State had more first downs than LSU

MSU turnovers created situations for LSU short field where LSU did not have to gain as many first downs.

29-7

I swear, some of you need to calm down, relax, and go do something today. This is utterly ridiculous.

And mind you, I was down on LSU after the UNC game, and down on JJ after the Vandy game.

There was nothing impressive about this win. Other than the LSU defense.

JJ had 96 yards total passing.

LSU should have hung at least 40 points on Ms St.

This team still has a long way to go to compete with Alabama and Florida.

Noramlly what you said would make sense but in this game no so much.

You're just a dick bag that must not have watched the game. We scored on every drive in the first half and every drive when the game mattered. Time of Possesion didnt mean shite last night. The game was never close so you really don't have a clue. Go back to watching poker on espn pussy

I hope you didn't hurt yourself with all that stretching and spinning.
The end result is:
TIGERS WIN!
That is all that matters.

Already happening.

You people amaze me. I've been classified as a nega-Tiger many times over the past couple of years, but I can't believe the amount of bitching and whining I am seeing on this board after a win like last night.

This post and your logic paints you as a coward and half assesd fan. Go pull for Georgia and bitch about being 0 - 2 and having no BCS's and talent as good as LSU. We won with great defense, special teams, and improving offense. RS needs to catch the ball, and Blue not fumble and the final score would have been 40-7.

+1000

I was down on LSU after UNC, and down on JJ after Vandy. I'm not a posi-Tiger fan, and I can't believe what I'm reading on these forums after the MSU game.

If you can't see improvement overall, I'm not sure you'll ever see it to be honest.

The game plan for the offense is to score some points and not lose the game for the team.

The strength of LSU is defense and special teams.

LSU does not have a stellar QB on its roster... it's no secret. But some of the RB and WR did not help either. JJ did enough last night.

I say LSU goes 10-2 this year if they keep improving. And who knows... the defense may get better and better each game, they can compete for the SEC. Never know.
