Alleva didn't want to look like a bad guy. After seeing the crowd give him a standing ovation,the signs, the chants, and the win.....he wasn't going to fire him. If they lost,he wouldn't look bad

That plus the buyout plus not having a clear path to a clear upgrade. Makes sense to me that it all adds up to keep the coach.

Boosters getting cold feet on all the buy out money for probably domeone other than JF is my guess couple with the bad press pat and future.
