this board is turning toxic

it appears that the days of posi's and anti's have returned.
the coach O haters are finding everything possible to tear down our coach even perceived things. if this continues (and I think it will) and escalates I think this place is not going to be any fun. I hope the admins realize this.

This board has been toxic. After January 9th 2012, for whatever reason, a new species joined the Rant and they create posts daily on the matters.
I have not started a Tiger Rant post since the days of Twain, Sparkafatty, and Mr. Clean.

I hope the admins realize that people can have different opinions, and that the effects of the "toxicity" are overblown.

well i mean when your AD engages in the worst coaching search in modern history, throw a temper tantrum like a 15 year old girl, rushes a hire that didn't need to be rushed, and settles on a coach that has a terrible track record and literally no demand (While being a huge joke on this board for years), you're going to have some people get upset

I am with you on this. Be upset that we didn't get one of our top two targets. I was. I was pissed when I heard the hire. I was in the Herman camp.
However, realize that there was nothing we were going to be able to do to get them sans making them the highest paid coaches in CFB.
Once that sinks in, we need to quit bashing on O's coaching ability until we at least give him a shot to be successful.
Are you guys still going to be pissed if we run the table with him as the HC?

I really hate this line of thinking. It is retarded. Of course we don't. No one does. The problem is that because of the uncertainties, institutions must take calculated risks when hiring a chief executive. Those calculations are made on the basis of resumes. O does not have the HC resume for a premier program. That is why many of us are upset.
He may go on to be undefeated for the next five years, which would mean our fears are unfounded. But that's not the point. You're stupid if you don't get this concept.
