I learned that this truly could be the beginning of a general decline. Obviously this team is not very good and next year will not be any better. We will get slaughtererd by both Bama and a&m, no question.

LSU lost to an inferior team last night. An imaginative and well coached offense beat us. The defense was not great but played well enough to win. It was the same old crap. Les runs into a stacked line and forces Mett into 3rd and long. It's not going to get any easier with A&M and Bama

Honestly,,,it was mett trying to force the ball to OBJ in double coverage that ultimately led to a defeat. We have all noticed it during the year. If he isn't throwing to OBJ or Landry he is taking a sack. The only counter to this was Boone in the Georgia game. I think Bama will do the same take away OBJ over the top,,,,hope to contain landry,,,,and force immobile Mett to find another receiver/tightend.

Exactly - and apparently the talent we recruited is no longer able to make up for less than excellent coaching.
None of those players will come back to endure a senior season like they will have next year. It can only hurt their future draft status.
Pray we get every remaining recruit on our list and then wash out next season playing mostly freshman and sophomores. Play for 2015 and 2016.

As disappointed as I was about losing, I actually felt that there are more important issues in the world to get angry about. I think it's time to move on and enjoy life.

What did I learn last night? That I'm ready for baseball season to start, cuz I sure don't give as shite about this season anymore.

Agree with ready4something. One of my early season fears was that Mett was falling in love with the big pass play. He was completing it easily against less talented pass defenses. It burned him last night. You can't throw 3 interceptions against a team like OM, much less Bama and A&M, and expect to win.

I think we're admittedly undersized by design. Louis (while being a welcome site) didn't stop any third and longs either.

More people will be forced to face the truth about our head coach.

I don't know why it has taken so long. November 2011-January 2012 should have given people a clue.

For the people who still had bromances with Miles after that, uh why, what does their guy bring to the table?
It is actually a serious question, I would really like to know.

Perspective: Miles has his issues..all other coaches and staffs have their issues as well..Saban is on top, and there is everyone else..We went 12-0 recently with one of the toughess schedules in the country...that takes a bit more than luck...At the beginning of the season most had us at 9-3...seems right on...we won't lose to both Bama and A&M...A&M have bigger issues than we do...

This thread pisses me off because it is true. I actually applaud you for typing this without breaking your computer screen halfway into it.

Still trying to figure out why we abandoned the run when it was working so well. Also, what the hell was Miles thinking when he called a timeout at the end of the game? Let Ole Miss burn theirs and use yours to ice the kicker. The thought process in Miles head makes mine hurt sometimes.

3. Our Linebackers are too small and too slow. We have no presence of a defense past the DL.

Its amazing how much quicker and stronger players appear when the are coached to be in position and proper tackling techniques. They have been missing tackles and being drug over the field all season.

I learned this isn't a very good football team and Florida is worse, if thats possible. LSU is a mid tier SEC team this season.

I agree with your post.. The Defense could not come up with a 3rd down stop last night. The game was lost on the 3 interceptions in the first half. I could not understand what Met or coaching staff were thinking going deep up the middle with 1 receiver on 2 defender's. We drove the ball down the field easy and should have continued pounded the ball by running and short passes.

Pathetic outing...
