yet we have not had the #1 recruiting class year-in, year-out. Something has to give in the talent, coaching, ratings scenario. Maybe we have coaches who really do evaluate talent and coach well.

LSU has similar first string talent to all the other top ten teams in the country. LSU also has 2nd and third stringers that are as good as the first stringers.
It's depth that gives LSU a huge advantage.

Your right we havent had the number 1 recruiting class every year? But we have had top tens every year. Your statement is sort of moot. It would be nearly imposible to have a top class every year.Ranking recruiting classes is retarded untill 3 years later anyway.

Our coaches absolutely have a knack for evaluating talent, as it can be seen with out depth and that's why I believe players want to come here, as they can see they will be in the best situation to succeed
