bullshite. It's a rule. Everyone on the team should be aware. A very egregious bonehead play by Slaughter. If he wasn't aware, then its on the coaching staff.

I disagree. They got the double play anyway. There was no reason to called interference. The slide was not egregious enough. Common sense says you don't make a controversial call like that with the game on the line in a championship.

Hell. I would have actively AVOIDED the SS. You'd be lucky if I didn't take the "via the pitcher's mound" route to 2nd.
