1) Only *real* bowl played on the 31st
2) Revenue sharing means who gives a shite
3) We'll be getting drunk in Buckhead for NYE
4) Fun (and quality) opponent in Clemson
5) It isn't terribly far from campus
6) It isn't the "fifth best bowl", it just has the fifth pick.

If you aren't playing for a BCS bowl, anything short of the Pup N' Suds Bowl is essentially the same thing.

you won't have time to get up to buckhead by midnight. did you not go last time? it's a miserable mad dash out of the dome to find a bar, any bar, by midnight.

Chicken bowl is 5th in the SEC pecking order.

...and an SEC team is in the NCG.

So we are the 6th best SEC team.

I agree with this but still a disgrace

Nothing intrinsically wrong with it, it just shows where we stand with the conference. And it's behind Bama, UF, UGA, and A&M, which has vaulted over us in the pecking order in its first year in the SEC.

I mean, even fricking USCe got picked ahead of us.

And don't give me that East shite. The Cotton was willing to take UGA.

That's not true. The dome is 1 mile from some downtown places or you can hop on MARTA to midtown and be within short walks to numerous bars.

They have a Heisman winner for the media to circle-jerk over. This is SOP in the ESPN era.

The Chick fil a bowl is a better bowl than the Outback bowl but I'm sure people would be excited for that one just because it's new years day... at 11.

I'd put the order at

Cotton
Cap One/Chick fil a

Outback

i agree. Go to the game and support your team or just shut up about it. Whining and bitching isn't going to help.

This is true. A&M to the SEC has already had "negative" impact. LSU has always been a considered a bastard step-child in the SEC.

There is nothing wrong with the Chicken Bowl..when you are near .500 in league play..when you are but one or two wins over 500 sans a 4-0 OOC W-L column mark.

I'd rank em:

Cotton (only because of the stadium) - used to be at a terrible time and in the worst stadium).
Chic-fil-A

Capital One (stadium sucks) noon kick-off

Outback morning game

I don't understand the persecution complex. It is absolutely baseless.

Which LSU was one year ago. This is why all the butthurt. It's like a "fall from grace". You have to admit. BCS to ChickFilA. That's a major drop from a perception stand point. LSU fans expectations are off the charts right now and this is substandard. (No disrespect for the ChicFilA group). It is what it is.

Exactly, some people might like going to Atlanta, but if it was so great why do they get the 5th pick? Does the SEC hate Atlanta?

Five stinking trips to Atlanta since 1996. I'm freaking sick of it.
