Too bad he has shown to suck as a head coach

Its like making a deal with the devil. I would be pumped to have a good offense, but i think i would feel really dirty.

He will become Alabam's HCIW in a few years after their sixth straight title. Yes, he will say NO.

wait...y'all want Kiffin now? jesus christ

Kiffin is like Muschamp in that they make great coordinators, but they have proven to be failures at Head Coach

I agree.

I'd ask Jimbo if there is still interest.

And, I'd make Herman call the cops to escort me off his lawn because I won't take no for an answer.

But, seriously, IF we "fall" down to Kiffin...we will end up in a better place than we are currently.

Not true. He had Tennessee on track and then walked into sanctions at USC. He's not a bad coach and I'd be happy with hiring him for his offensive mind.

No thanks. I'd rather have someone proven at the head coach level. His head coaching stops have been less than impressive. LSU can do better than an OC or DC as their head coach.

Will not say no vs want. Clearly you are the level headed unemotional party in the transaction.

THIS.

Dude comes from both Pete Carroll and Nick Saban coaching trees.

I think he has matured and is ready to be a HC.

Again, he is NOT my first choice. But, he is an excellent backstop.

he was there 1 season, you can't really judge how he handled Tennessee except for all the off the field stuff, which has always been his biggest fault

and he might have walked into sanctions at USC, but he lost that team while at USC

I, in no way, want Kiffin at LSU as HC

Didn't he also shite all over Tenn by leaving them at a really bad time?
He's shady as hell and I don't want him near LSU.
If we fire Miles I say name Aranda interim coach and do a proper job of hiring someone after season

You're too emotional.

If no big name top tier HC is there, who has the most potential upside? If it's a money play based on status of university, who can wear two hats? Who has in roads with recruits and current coaches who we need to retain (ED O).

He's got baggage. But if he is there you roll dice.

Wait, the idea is to get a coach that isn't more hated than Miles, right?

I'd take a bag of Doritos over Lane Kiffin.

NO!
