There is no superb athlete

Amoung the DT's and the linebackers (especially Welter) are not physical enough to take on people and get off blocks. We miss a dt attacking the los and getting penetration to cause havoc. All of defensive lineman are catching people, not attacking. This is the difference in our defence the last couple of years.

Supposedly our freak athlete DT is being held up by the SEC offices. Our other one almost lost his arm being an idiot.

it doesn't matter if you have the most athletic freak on your team. its all schemes and coaching. we've been going up against the same fricking offense every year since mullen took over MSU and his coordinating days at UF.

And it's been a while since we haven't had the DTs to plug the middle.

I respectfully disagree. There superb athletes on the DL and we were all excited 4 weeks ago about all of them before the season started. They are just young and all that athleticism is for not if you a.) are not coached up and ready, and b.) get beat by a player across from you who knows how to take advantage of speed with better technique and negate your leverage and athleticism because of point a.) But that doesn't happen in one fall camp. They will be just fine in time but for now we have to take our lumps until these guys get it which I hope happens soon.
