i keep seeing justification for les's poor decision to start jennings, typically being negative towards harris...but it seems people are forgetting each applies to jennings also

for example, i'm worried about starting harris on the road and all that, too, but jennings hasn't started a road SEC game, either

for example, i'm worried about harris reading a more complex/talented D than NMSU, too, but jennings has proven he's worse than harris is at reading defenses, so this isn't an argument

we're worried that harris may put us in a hole, but jennings already has in 2 straight game

You're thinking logically. Les doesn't.

Where are all these people calling for Jennings to start? I'm sure there are like two or three, but overall most just realize we need a backup that isn't a walk-on and can't afford for him to completely check out.

It's kind of similar to the logic behind sitting a player who's in foul trouble in basketball for too long. You are taking the player out the game to prevent him from... being taken out the game?

eta. I will say the coaches are in a tough position knowing Jennings would have no choice to transfer and then we'd have no depth at QB next year.

Agreed, but Harris should start. Yet Miles will start Jennings.

The fact that we have to explain this is the awesome part. People are acting like Jennings is this experienced vet. Dude just had 3 turnovers at home vs New Mexico St, but all of a sudden he's the safe qb to start?

Or to quote Hani: What are you afraid of him doing on the road? He turned the ball over four times out of six possessions at HOME!

Read between the lines in Miles' post game pressure.

Last week: We will take into account the multifaceted things we ask a QB to do. Team struggles with communication.

This week: He did the multitude of things we ask a QB to do. Things like communication.

do that to the auburn war eagles, plainsmen or tigers and it would probably be 21 points.
