Or January 2nd if we don't play in a January bowl. His buyout drops 2 million and it'll be time. I love Les, he's a great guy and I'll probably be sad to see him leave. But he's gotta go. He's like that girl that you know you can't work it out with, but you just can't let go. It'll suck at first, but its best in the long run.
If we don't make the move this year, we just as soon wait until his contract is up. We have the our best shot to win a championship since 2011 next year and I don't want to see it go to waste. If you guys think Les is making offensive changes and we'll see something new you're fooling yourselves. 2013 we had one of the best offenses ever and we still did the same thing. There is no reason to believe any different. Not to mention, what coach wouldn't want to come coach Leneord fournette and the assests we'll have? That would be a huge lure for any coach to come, something we won't have after next year.
To those of you scared we'll fall into the 90's, why? We've just lost 3 games in blow out fashion for the first time since. With the way schedules are set up, we're almost guaranteed at least 5 wins with non conference and the non florida east school. That means you just have to beat one of OM, MSU, Barn, A&M to become bowl eligible, and quite honestly unless you're in a major bowl, 9-3 isn't much different than 6-6. It becomes participation trophies at that point. And I find it extremely hard to believe we'll fall that low. LSU didnt have the players in NFL like it did then, nor did it have championships in the 80's (previous decade) to build upon. Also we didn't have an 102,000 capacity stadium to fill up. Worst case scenario we have 2-3 7 win seasons, and move on to the next guy.

sorry but the amount of damage done by waiting until january is not worth saving 2 million.

That's too late unless the new coach retains O, Wilson and Raymond. Otherwise this extremely important 2016 class falls apart and we're set back another 2-3 years.

yep, wait that long and we wont have a recruiting class left. Then we have to scramble and we finish in the middle of the pack recruiting wise. it sets the new coach back because it creates more holes.
People need to stop being stupid about this, we either shite or get off the pot as soon as the A&m game is over if not tomorrow.

The deadline for TAF donations is 12/31
it will happen prior to that

I know people say he can recruit, but Raymond is not the best at coaching DB's. I am okay with letting him go. I think any new Coach without SEC background would need to keep O and Frank. Moffit as well.

A buyout will be negotiated to the amount due in Jan without having to keep him as HC until then. In fact, a new HC will be announced after A&M game.
Some of you are new to the world of business.

2 million is not worth waiting over a month, and potentially missing out on coaches LSU wants to take a look at.

Not to mention the uncertainly during the heat of recruiting.
