D Guice went for 120 yards on 27 carries. Good numbers but not great. Now wait before you bash me this is not a knock on Guice he was awesome and did what we needed him to. This is a credit to our offense. BYU knew Guice would get most of the carries focused in on him and our offense did what it should have been doing for years. Knowing that and taking advantage of it. BYU committed to stopping the run and we burned them for it and when they had to respect the passing game we went back to runnning it. We used the passing game enough to attack with our dominant running game. Awesome to see LSU play that way.

BYU sat in zone all day to prevent big plays. We took what they gave us. It was a smart game plan.

Agree, held my breath every time he touched the ball.

Watched him warm up and he seemed a step slow, DW and Clyde are all we need next week if he needs rest.

This.

We feed the ball to the best player on the field with success. We controlled time of possession and then it allowed us to toss the ball around.

There will likely be games where we start off throwing the ball more at first, in order to open up the running game. There really isn't anything complicated about it, but it does keep the defense guessing.

OL wasn't getting second level blocks as well as they should have. They have a lot to clean up. It got better as the game went along though and Williams had some big holes to run through that Guice didn't. BYU has a tough front 7 so it'll be a good film session for Canada and Grimes to break down.

He ran well. I think he's the perfect complement to Guice.
