Chavis was upset because Miles kept the offense on the field too long, depriving the defensive players enough playing time and hurting their NFL initial contracts.

Your grandson would be a mid to upper level poster here.

I know for certain, from a D player, that Miles/Chavis did not want this to happen. It's about $$$, plain and simple. Alleva is the culprit for those that want to continually bash Miles.

Miles isn't going to tell a D player - I know your love Chavis, but dude has to go sorry

Chavis pretty much said F-LSU and F-their no offense ... no offence

I will have say bullshite. If Chavis didn't want "this" to happen then he would not have went to aTm.

Miles didn't tell a D player. This player is really tight with Chavis. You can blame the offense all day, Miles/Chavis have a good relationship. This one is not on Miles, it's all Alleva.

If we don't make a "homerun" hire for DC, it will be because of $$$$.

Alleva is not a culprit. Alleva did the right thing. He offered Chavis a rich contract and Chavis wanted more. Adios.

His answer isn't any dumber than most of the crap I read here.

Miles has a budget to work with...and the budget is one of the top (if not the top) budgets in the country for assistants. The assistants all get consistent raises.

At the end of the day, it's not unreasonable to decide that you don't need to pay a DC absolute top money. Chavis is good. He's not THE best defensive coordinator in the country. He was literally offered a top 3 salary in the country.

That wasn't enough for Chavis and he got a better offer and he took it. For everything negative you can say about Alleva, I don't think this decision was crazy at all.

The player you are referencing just doesn't care about or consider everything behind the decision. The "Just pay whatever it takes" isn't a reasonable strategy and shouldn't be necessary for a program like LSU.

Then he shouldn't have taken a swipe at our offense when he landed in Texas. Total classless move.
