Leave it to the disgraceful Aggies to bring down the average.

This bowl season has been boring as hell. Too many blowouts. Not very competitive matchups.

I read something earlier on Twitter that said the closest margin of victory between 2 ranked teams this bowl seaosn was like 11points.

Brutal. Hard to watch the 2nd half of these games.

Agree! There has not been one competitive bowl game. If you tried you couldn't come up with worst match-ups than these bowl games.

When Tunsil returned Ole Miss became a top 5-6 team. Theyd give Bama a game again.

As of last night, the SECw was 4-1 with a scoring margin of 21 pts/game (almost 28 in the 4 victories). And tonight Ole Miss is leading by 21.

Charlie Mac always said the problem with the Teams in the SEC is that they have to play each other!!

Honestly, I've been shocked at the noncompetitiveness of so many of these games. Alabama's thorough domination in the Cotton Bowl was the biggest surprise, but who would think that Tennessee would humiliate Northwestern or Stanford would pummel Iowa?

Too many bowls led to diluted matchups

Disagree. On paper most looked good. Lsu/Tech was one of the worst looking. No one could have predicted out of all these major bowls half the teams wouldn't even show up to play.

G*d rest his soul, but to be quite honest, Charlie Mac was vastly overrated as a coach. He imprinted a lot of the "jinxes" that became fixed in Tiger fans' psyches for many years, such as not being able to win on the road, that whole "purple jersey" thing, that fear of daytime home games, etc. How he ever remained a head coach at LSU for 18 seasons remains a mystery.

Looking at the playoffs, they really didn't even need them. OU and MSU didn't deserve to be there.

I knew all of that. The Big 10 was truly awful this year. Iowa and Northwestern got fat off their weak schedules and Michigan State was in several 1 TD games with 2nd and 3rd tier FBS teams.

We are no better than 3rd in our own division. And given that Miles is damn lucky not to be 0-3 against Bert, we may not be better than 4th.

That's a long way from the top.
