It helps that baseball swept both games

Did the team as a whole meet, exceed, or fall short of your expectations yesterday?

We knew coming in that with the returning depth and experience we have at every other position, adequate QB play would make for a great season.

Both QBs were making reads and throws we couldn't have imagined last year.

And we seem to have found a pass rush.

Harris played too well yesterday.

Thing about Harris is that he was lightning as the White QB and awful as the Purple QB.

Despite what others would have you believe, our offense won't always have more talent than the opposing defense. When that happens, Harris can't abandon the pocket prematurely. On one play in particular, he ran backwards about 10-15 yards.

Sometimes you have to just stand in the pocket and take a shot while you're releasing the ball.

both were awful with the purple squad. neither had much time to do anything.

although harris led the purple squad to a score. what did jennings do other than take sack after sack?

The offensive line was terrible for both... or our 1st string DL is coming together.

I'd just prefer to see Harris use his mobility to maneuver in the pocket and find his receivers rather than scrambling.

Small critique, as overall he played very well, but continuing to play like that could get him hurt.

I think most people are finally starting to realize that the spring game is pretty irrelevant and not a good indicator of things to come in the fall.

The takeaway from yesterday:

1. There did not seem to be any serious injuries sustained

2. LSU has got some really talented players, especially on offense. Both QBs are capable of producing results if the coaching staff can put them in a position to succeed. It's up to Miles and Cameron to find a way to run an offense that plays to the talents of their players.

Only because both QBs looked decent to good. If they had looked bad, then the spring game is the end-all be-all to determine our QBs' abilities.

Got around the DL, and threw the ball away instead of taking a sack.

It's pointless. Nothing will change.

I thought there were 6 sacks? I have no clue who was sacked x amount of times, just remembered 6 was thrown around yesterday.

It turned out okay because Harris is a much better athlete than any of our DLinemen.

But tell me you wouldn't shite yourself if he turned his back to his receivers in a game scenario.

It's a bad habit and one he needs to correct. Thankfully he's young and has plenty of time to do so.

QB's are taught to do that when bailing out of the pocket. Then it becomes scramble drill and receivers break off their routes and go to the direction the QB is going.

How can you criticize a spring game?

I remember the idiots a few years ago bitching because Chris Garrett didn't see enough action in the spring game. Then he literally ate is way out of his scholarship.

Jennings was more accurate with purple squad, they scored a TD because Les gave them an extra down.

So our starters destroyed the second team. OMG! I hope so! There was nothing to be learned from the spring game.
