Baseball players are all about traditions and superstions. This all started about 3-4 years ago with Raph Rhymes and Chris Cotton. I believe Rhymes cut his hair when he was hitting around .500, and then went into a mini-slump. He vowed not to cut his hair the next season.
I think Mainieri actually joked with Cotton, and told him not to cut his hair all year. So, a tradition was born.
Hale doesn't have the kind of hair that looks good long, but I don't care. I just want him to channel his inner Christian Ibarra and tighten up his defense at 3B.

I didn't say it was a long tradition, dumbass.
Just trying to give the OP the back story.

If the Cajun players did this these same people on here applauding it would be ripping them as some juvenile 'wanna be' act.
They would be ripped on hete, but by different people. Many people seem to think of the Rant as a single entity rather than lots of posters.

If he wants to look like Bruce Jenner that's his own biz. My only concern is how he plays ball.

OP, if you ever saw the players' girlfriends hanging around after the game, you'd realize that they could care less what your opinion is on how they look. CPM, from all accounts, requires them to be clean shaven, the old school N.Y. Yankee look, but obviously he has no issues with how long their hair is. And FWIW: Bregman wears a semi Mohawk on & off during a season. He look good to you?
