I've traveled to quite a few LSU sporting events alone (what happens when your friends lack dedication/financial commitment) and LSU fans are super friendly. I've never had a hard time making friends on the road and you see a lot of the same people when you travel enough. It's kind've like a loose association but cool nonetheless.

Yeah I went in 2015 and met a great group from Des Moines who let me join their tailgate and we partied for all the LSU games. It looks like the same plan for this Omaha trip as well.

Never been. I have time this year and I'm tempted.

It really is a great trip. I was skeptical how it would be going alone but thanks to this board, I met the Des Moines crew and still stay in touch with them and had a blast in 2015.

interesting concept here... I regularly drive to LSU home and away events alone and always enjoy them. going to Omaha is another whole level of commitment, though. I am tempted...

If you don't go to the CWS, then we should get a beer at Stadia or Buffalo Wild Wings and watch the games...
