The Offensive line in '15

How good will it be? If they aren't dominant LSU loses 4 games again.

Probably losing 4 starters

Depends on what Vadal and Hawkins decide to do. The line showed improvement as the year went on, which makes me feel good about Grimes' ability to field a solid to good line next year.

If Alexander and Hawkins leave early the prospect isnt very good

I think we'll be fine. We have a real coach, who will be recruiting his own style of player, and I don't expect the kind of drop off we've had in past years when upperclassman leave. My hope is that Grimes will bring some stability to the offensive line and we can expect more consistency from here on out.

The line was wildly inconsistent this year with very good talent. This was not Grimes' fault?

Sure, partially. They also improved a lot from game 1 to game 12. He likely had to correct a lot of bad habits, teach actual technique and implement his own system. We'll be fine.

Grimes was installing a completely new blocking scheme.

Between Dumond, Boutte, Brumfield, Clapp, Pocic, Dodd, Malone, and possibly Hawkins/Alexander, we should be able to put together a solid line. That's not accounting for any potential impact freshman.

They will be young, which means the pumpers already have their built-in excuse for next years slide. 2015- "Line just needs experience, wait til next year"

Teuhema and Brumfield at guard. Dodd or Clapp at center, Hawkins at LT, Pocic at RT. We aren't the only team losing 3 OL. Just about everybody in the SEC is.

I'm not too optimistic about it.

I think brumfield will be one of the guards

I think we can be good regardless of who we return.
If Hawk and Vadal come back that would obviously be huge.
However i think we have done a great job recruiting Olinemen recenttly, and that wasn't the case early on. Grimes also seems to be showing some ability to coach. The line improved as the season went on.

I'm more optimistic than 99% of this board.
