As an LSU fan I don't recall any happier moment than after that game. We were the most consistent and dominant program in the last decade of the BCS and were at the peak of success in a very tough sport. Who would have ever thought we would come to this point today. 2011 was the most fun and dominating season of any sport I can recall. Not many programs can say one night destroyed a program like Jan 9. Last night was pretty much the straw that broke the camels back. I wish we could go back to that Iowa state vs ok state game. Our program would be different and fun and exciting. Nick Saban has taken away everything from us. Multiple NC's to a heisman trophy.

How did we get to this point.

LSU is a dominant program.

It dominates opponents.

Got my first bj the night of the '05 peach bowl after we whipped Miami's arse on the field and off the field. So 9-6 was #2.

9 days ago we were undefeated and #2 in the country, looking at an SEC title game appearance and possible playoff appearance.

Man I said pretty much that exact same thing back in August:

Like you intimated, I can definitely say that I was happier that night than I ever have been as a Tiger fan. Pretty fricking depressing.

Nailed one of my exes (back together now, she was an ex at the time) as time was expiring in the 07 title game. So 9-6 was #2 for me too

You have to adapt to the times and circumstances. Miles does not adapt his team or philosophies. What would Jim Harbaugh do with the talent here at LSU?

Maybe Bama should've been good enough to make it's FGs then
