With the way the west is stacked, a 1 loss SEC west team would be the best case scenario for this year's playoff.
With one loss, the team also benefits from one less game by not playing the SEC championship game. I hope we are at the receiving end of good karma.

LSU can win every game on their schedule. Believe it. It may not be pretty, but this team has what it takes.

I don't think the committee will be too eager to let 2 SEC teams in, especially in the first year. It would have to be a situation where there are 2 weak champions from other conferences that the one-loss team is objectively better than by every measure.

When LSU plays miss st, there is a strong chance there will be SIX SEC WEST teams alone all in the top 20.

There is no way an 11-1 LSU will be left out of the playoff assuming we lose to an 11-1 auburn or Bama type team which could give them the edge to make it to atlanta.
