It's incredibly dumb.....the 3-0 series at state does not put LSU at a disadvantage despite the Rants attempt to make it such.

I don't know in what competitive sport would the team who got beat down at home feel more confident the 2nd time around.

Rant still has PTMD (Post Traumatic Miles Disorder) from 1/9.

No, it doesn't put LSU at a competitive disadvantage. However, both teams are very familiar with each other. They have seen all of our pitching, and know every single thing there is to know about us (even more so than anybody else, given their head coach). Going 5-0 or 5-1 against another good team is no easy task.

Regardless, we were going to be playing a very good team this weekend. So, it is what it is.

Well at least Mississippi State earned their way into a rematch.

These are my thoughts as well.

I just don't want Cannizzaro to get the last laugh. We need/must win this thing

On the flip side of that though, is that we have that same advantage they have. It will simply come down to who hits, pitches and plays defense the best.

Those things are important, but scoring the most runs in each game is key.

I've watched state too....and if LSU can get into their bullpen we are golden......

That series at their home was for the SEC west.....this one is for a trip to Omaha.....Experience matters too and we have it.

Msu can play loose with nothing to lose, they are playing with house money. All the pressure is on us. From that aspect and the teams being familiar which probably takes away our talent edge, its gonna be tough

There's one thing I am completely sure of. You treat Rooker exactly like they treated and will treat Deichmann. frick even giving Rooker a chance on a 1 run HR.

Though if we get up early on MSU in the first game, they are gonna think "Here we go again".

Let's just hope Watson stays on FIRE. I was actually pretty shocked that nearly every team this weekend just said "frick it" and pitched to Deichman. It actually paid off.

I am pretty sure Mississippi State believes that they belong here (and they do). They were right there playing for the West, right along side of us. They will still have some pressure on them, especially since we waxed that arse just a few weeks ago.

My only concern is that we play tight because of the sweep in StarkVegas and the Cannizaro thing hanging over the weekend. If they play loose like theyve been playing the last month, theyll be fine. Just don't tighten up.

The atmosphere in the stadium should help our guys out a lot. You could tell, from watching on tv, that there was a little extra fire from the crowd. Our players seemed to feed off of it too. Take that atmosphere from this weekend and double it, and that's what we should get inside the Box.

Its not logical - the feeling comes from seeing teams eventually lose after multiple wins even though you clearly have a better team! I've seen this hundreds of times at all levels in all sports. I want to crush these guys like everybody else, but the past wins don't mean much - and the whole Cannizaro saga and all makes me somewhat uncomfortable going in...............
