And we know how that ended.

UF had no buisness beating that 2003 Tiger team but our offense couldn't move ball and UF found a weakness in our D that day.

I don't think Driskel will beas fortunate.

And Alabama was hot garbage at the time.

Wouldn't work that way this year.

Tiger stadium was calm and almost dead as I remember it after having beaten Georgia just 7 days earlier. Team was also flat and just never seemed to be in the game. Just believe this Saturday is a different scenario than we had that year. IMO

The comments on this thread are unbelievable. All this doom and gloom and pointing out every little fault. Feels like we are 0 - 5. Damn

Yea, I remember that game well. Skyler Green returned a punt for a TD, and we thought we were on our way. Just one of those days where everything went wrong. If Mauck made a good throw, the receiver dropped the pass. If he caught it there was a penalty. We couldn't get out of our own way that day.

1. Chris Leake was a redshirt freshman who had earned his spot as Zook's starting QB...not a true freshman just out of HS thrown into an emergency starting situation.

2. Whatever he may be coming out of HS, Driskel is no Chris Leake.

1. it's Leak

2. he was a true freshman

3. you're right about the circumstances of their starts being different. Leak didn't start the season as the #1 QB, but he played in every game before taking over a game or 2 before playing LSU.

My bad...you are correct. For some reason I thought he was a RS Frosh.

We were coming off a bye after beating Miss St. Although we pummeled MSU, the offense look bland in Starkville.

Leak had some starts before LSU but we all expected he'd pee in his pants on the road at Tiger Stadium. He didn't.

FWIW, I obviously expect a Tiger W. My post is more along the lines of not taking UF lightly because of the QB situation.
Our offense will face the toughest D we have seen this week.

Very good comparison between this situation and that. People were blowing that Florida team off just like this one. Terrible game. Easily could have cost us the MNC

That game was so frustrating - dropped passes, penalties out the wazoo, turnovers. It was a nightmare of offensive miscues.

One of $$$$$'s more memorable coaching breakdowns.

The Gators may have had a chance. But I feel very confident at this point.
