You get that many Jort wearers in one place, you better have some police

UF knows their fanbase

Why not? The gov is referring to state police. Miami police can handle a game where only 10k show up.

In today's world there is zero chance I would sponsor an event of any size without more than adequate security

FWIW, I live on MIami Beach, and we had no more wind than a typical January day accompanied by a drizzle. I can't really speak for Gainesville, but I'm pretty sure they didn't get any closer to the storm than we did.

Why not?

I have a couple of buddies in Miami, one lives right on the beach and never left his condo.

They said it didn't rain any more than any other normal rainy day, And it was a "little" windier than usual.

That is it, everything is normal in Miami.

Sure, but this doesn't mean they won't have adequate security.

Mall cops and sheriff reserves shouldn't count

And that is about what Gainesville will go through.

If they don't have adequate security it shouldn't be played. That said I don't know how they usually staff Miami games. But if they are announcing that he isn't sending officers there, my best guess is they usually count on them for security, in some compacity

Miami PD handles games, mostly from what I'm told from a couple of Canes fans I know.

This won't really change anything if I had to guess.

So a couple of state troopers will be absent, and filled in by a couple extra Miami PD guys.

it could be a minimal amount easily offset by adding more local PD officers.

There's no reason to assume it should probably not be played due to security based on this tweet, is all I'm saying, or should be saying to be correct.

we offered to play in an empty stadium... there is no need for security in an empty stadium.

Thanks for clarifying. How many state troopers do they usually send to work U games?

I'd guess 5. 1 for each fan that shows up.

Moving along, man. Thanks for asking.

Tape/Float is almost done. The garage is OSB, so I've already got that primed and ready for paint. Have to finish it before the doors come in next week so we have somewhere to paint them and the molding. Flooring goes in on the 22nd. Cabinets that week along with furniture/appliances. In a perfect scenario we're in before november.
