quote:
Shock stage: Initial paralysis at hearing the bad news. See, e.g., "I can't believe what I just witnessed. Miles pulled another one out of his arse. LSU has been embarrassed on national television for the second year in a row."
quote:
Denial stage: Trying to avoid the inevitable. See, e.g., Hey, wait a minute, UT's coach is dumber than LSU's coach.
quote:
Anger stage: Frustrated outpouring of bottled-up emotion. See, e.g., the Tiger Rant on Tuesday.
quote:
Bargaining stage: Seeking in vain for a way out. See, e.g., "What is Miles' buyout?"
quote:
Depression stage: Final realization of the inevitable. See, e.g., "We're stuck with Miles for three more years!"
quote:
Testing stage: Seeking realistic solutions.See, e.g., Let Gonzales call plays if Crowton is canned! RS and PP in the Wildcat Triple Wing! WHERE THE HELL IS BELOWPAR?!?!?!111/!!?!
quote:
Acceptance stage: Finally finding the way forward. See, e.g., "We're going to skull-frick Brantley, CUM, and the GAYTERDS!111!!!!11"

Oh no you di'in!
Memo to Ice Cold: This is the Rant. You CANNOT throw out an Elisabeth Kubler-Ross reference and expect this thread to grow beyond a page. Most Rantards are probably still wondering what team that dude played for before he got into over-thinking. You're going to have to tailor your smack for the audience, so scale back the IQ points a bit.
Further credit where credit is due has to go to getting the "ü" to show up in the name. That's a little over the top IMHO. But count me as one of the minority who appreciates the effort.

hahah... this is good stuff.
I saw the title and was wondering what the hell someone was writing stuff about Kubler-Ross
Can't count the number of times i've had to study this stuff.

Ronald Reagan had one of the most dysfunctional first families we've ever had. They never went to church and Nancy had a Fortune Teller to help her out. And yet Ronnie was the darling of the Religious Right and GOP. If Reagan can be successful with all that then I know Les Miles can coach his way to Victory with all the problems he has articulating with the media.

As do I, but that's way over the heads of the Rant masses. Does make me more comfortable though that are indeed a few bright lights amongst the void of darkness.........

What's next Ice?
Are you going to start a thread with the phrase "Regression to the Mean" in the title? I challenge you to do it solely for the experiment over whether or not it reaches 2 pages. I would request that in order to increase the difficulty, everyone on this thread should commit to not posting on it.
The thread will obviously target those folks overly influenced by a 5-0 start, rather than what a bottom ranked offense challenged only by average defenses projects to do once the season's sample size progresses enough to filter out the intangibles that occur but cannot be controlled. We'll obviously see some regression to the mean as the only team in college football with only 2 passing touchdowns to show for more than 100 passing attempts. There's no way this can be off-set by a top defense. It's a recipe for a nearly .500 season the rest of the way.
But anyway, that's just some inspiration for your next thread. Feel free to kick it up a notch.
