It's a shame that the kids don't have anyone to fight for them or lookout for them. If Alleva cared hedve fired jones by now.

That was his exact excuse for firing miles but now he can't fire jones. You're sending a message to these players and future recruits that you don't care about them.

Yeah this is spot on. I'm really starting to feel sorry for the players. What a complete abomination Jones is as a coach.

People say they have quit but I can't see that. I think they have lost any confidence in the coaches.

This team plays hard in spurts. They are not relentless. Marks of teams that consistently play hard is a worn down opponent even if they lose by 20. This team can play harder, but why should they when their coach is such an idiot?

I'll say this, they quit last year and at times this year they seemed on the verge and in a couple of games did. The effort was better but I don't give much credit for effort because you are SUPPPOSED to play hard every game and if you don't that's a HUGE problem.
And to your point above all the players that were on the team last year were witness to what happened, how can one be expected to respect the leadership coming off that epic implosion?

If you call the defense LSU has been playing "playing hard" you don't know the first thing about basketball.
