The future of LSU basketball has been pinned to a kid who will be one and done. Who wouldn't be coming to LSU if not for his Godfather being an assistant coach. That tells me it's not a great future.

Until this program starts getting tough, high IQ'd, basketball savvy Players from NYC, Chicago, Philly, DC or Detroit they will not contend for conference or national titles.

Truedat. Problem is none of our studs are a sure thing for a free-throw yet they feel as if winning is on their shoulders

I would not totally discount this Seinfeld.

Well, I don't think you need to go to any of those cities to field a winner. We had a mostly home grown final four team just 9 years ago.

Talent is not going to be the problem. I'll repeat what my biggest concern is. Until CJJ can get these kids to do what he is asking, they will fall short of what they can be.

Ben Simmons is the real deal. He's unselfish, self-motivated and coachable. I bet if Johnny tells him to quit jacking stupid threes he does.

But the kids on this team aren't listening to that (and other such things), and who knows how many on next year's team besides Simmons will.

And until they do, underperformance will likely follow. Now underperformance is relative, but it still keeps us from being the best we can be.

That being said. The coach is a grown arse man. He's supposed to have a decent knowledge of how to run an offense, how to stop dribble penetration and when to call a TO after 4 straight horrible possessions and watching your lead cut to nothing. He's the problem not the youngsters
