The Texas Tech offensive line has been a respectable bunch all season, even having a second team all american in the group.

However, I thought that the LSU defensive line looked phenomenal last night...as good as I remember seeing them play in 2011 as a matter of fact.

Arden Key and Tashaun Bower were pretty well unblockable all night long. Godchaux looked fantastic as did Gilmore as well at times.

I hope we can carry this momentum forward into next season. Coach O has been earning his paycheck.

Very true, and considering the fact that Texas Tech runs a lot of hurry up offensive, they played exceptionally well.

I think that was the biggest disappointment on the Texas Tech side. No other team's defensive front was able to manhandle them like that all year.

That late goal line stand by our boys was so awesome to watch! Talk about old school Chinese Bandits defense!

Kinda reminded me of that hungry, aggressive 2007 defense anchored by Dorsey. It was really great to see.

They did look fantastic, but if there's one thing to look at for improvement, it's taking better angles and containing when you have 2 or more guys free and pursuing the quarterback. There were 3 or 4 more opportunities for sacks where, if one of the lineman had taken a better angle to just contain instead of running right at Mahomes, they could have gotten him. As well as running into each other and taking each other out of the play.

Yes, they looked good. But considering who we played, I wouldn't expect much less than I saw. Geaux Tigers!

I'd say that about our O vs their D, but not about our D vs their O. Our D was lights out.

Yes, TT has one of the most explosive offenses in the nation and a QB who is a threat rolling out of the pocket and still passing and hitting targets.

So yes, I'm not an Lsu fan but I have to give kudos to that defense. Those players love Les Miles and played their hearts out. You beat a dangerous team period!

I'd say that about both sides of the ball. They were clearly outmatched on both sides of the line. As one poster mentioned in the SEC Rant- 50ish to 27 final. I agreed with that.

If Mahomes wasn't as elusive as he was, they'd still be scraping pieces of him off the turf. That dude is good; I can't believe a 6'3" guy with that kind of mobility and arm wasn't given looks at lots of big schools. I was very impressed with him.

Not taking away from TT's quarterback, but holding on every play not being called sure helped.

Yeah, I'm not sure how the refs didn't see that. Their RT was holding just about every time we had a good rush.

We played the right guys most of the game. LaCouture needs to either go pro or be quality depth.

Yep. If their QB had just been normal and not some freak of mobility, he might be dead today.

Tech's QB was incredible. He was fun to watch. We easily would have had 3 more sacks if it were anyone else. That kid made some fantastic plays

The biggest difference I took from the D last night was solid fundamental tackling. Guys were wrapping and not allowing yards after contact a lot.
So many times this year we have seen the opposite. What a difference fundamental football makes.
