Does anyone know what it honestly is? Bama has a much worse loss than Florida

They say current rankings are from what you've done on the field and not projections, which is why Baylor is 6th. But then they put bama at 4. It's ridiculous.

Their reasoning is full of contradictions, but it really doesn't matter as it will seemingly work itself out

Bama and Notre Dame get a pass because of their name. You know it. I know it. The committee knows it. The media knows it.

And TBH, in week 9, I'm totally fine with it.

They think wins over Wisconsin, Georgia, TAMU, Tennessee are better than Ole Miss, Missouri, Georgia, and Tennessee. Tennessee and Georgia cancel out, so by their logic Wisconsin and TAMU are better than Ole MIss and Missouri. Whatever

It doesn't matter at all right now. Every team in the top 4 and every team out of it has to just win their games. The committee has Bama ahead of Florida because they are a better team. They didn't put teams that are all offense in the top 4 like Baylor and they didn't put a team in that is all defense like Florida.

This was just another made for TV event created by ESPN.

yes, it really does. This committee won't be replaced by a smart committee in 2 months. It''s going to be the same dumbasses doing the same illogical shite.

If Lsu and UF are both top 4 now and win out the regular season with UF beating Lsu in the SEC title game, then you should have two SEC teams in final four. Lsu could knock bama out this weekend. Question is, if bama wins a close one, do Lsu and Bama just swap places in the top 4?

I mean...we have no way of knowing that

we can look at common opponents though and if you do, Florida did better

so I have no idea how you can definitively say Bama > UF

We beat Bama this weekend; they are out. They beat us; they deserve to be in. The rankings today, do not matter.

It doesn't matter this week. It may matter another week, or another season. We could be on the outside looking in at some point, which is why the committee's giving credibility to teams based on name recognition and reputation should be called out.

It mattered in 2011. It will only change when LSU wins a couple NC's and shuts them up. We know what we have to do.

This, all of this. I've been harping on this since the damn thing came out yesterday.

You can't excuse the rankings because "it will all work itself out." Piss-poor logic and manipulated criteria went into this ranking, and I've got no doubt that it will go into the final poll.

This shite speaks to the integrity of the committee. Either one of two things are true - they're incompetent and the rankings this week are evidence of that, or they're going to get it all right at the end and they'll just drum up controversy over the next few weeks until then - either of those situations are a travesty.

Exactly. If we lose we will drop to probably 10
