He also says that the starters on his defense are as good as any other school in the country but he needs to develop the backups more.

CHIEF! He is also correct, by the end of the year our D will be just as good as last year's but it won't HAVE to be. 11-1 and we win the Natty!

Good, those players assuming starting roles for the first time need to read something other than LSU's defense being suspect in 2013.

Good to know. Now I can spend the fall finishing my third novel instead of following football. Thanks.

PS: I don't often say GTFO, but could you? Thanks again.

We don't rebuild we reload. Remember when Mingo and Montgomery were freshman. Practically came out of nowhere and were dominant. We will be fine and will be competitive in every game we play this year.

Dude, we are going to be good enough with what we line up with in August to beat everyone on our schedule.

Injuries, progression of underclassmen, bar fights, and drug tests will determine if we are a contender or a 3 loss team.

I think we beat Bama and Ga

Yes, and from that article it sounds like Johnny Jones would be fun to be around.

The fact is LSU is now a major player in CFB. Arguably one of the top 5 programs. LSU will get everybody, and i mean EVERYBODY's best shot...We just can't show up and expect to win (see Sam Montgomery comments). The talent is there. If they play with a chip on their shoulder with something to prove and the coaches develop smart game plans that the players execute, we could surprise and pull out 11 wins. But they have to show up EVERY GAME!!!

Hope Chavis realizes that tradition doesn't play "Prevent" in the last two minutes against teams that wear Crimson and White. Chief is one of the best, but that was a totally faullty decision and a real .

LB's and DL's are in good hands coaching wise. DB's not so much. Didn't like what I saw out of the secondary minus Ron Cooper last year. CR doesn't appear to be that good with the X's/O's and in game adjustments.

I get the feeling that Herron and Bower are M&M part 2.

For starting to freshman at corner last year, the secondary was pretty good.

You think the DB coach is the one making in game adjustments?
