the bama fans expect us to line up in the double TE I

and 1 WR the whole game. they are crowing about how their front 7 will crush us.
well, what will Coach miles do? I expect to see the I with 1 TE for at appx 1/2 of plays, but if we run the first half of Moo state and Whole Auburn game plan we'll have success.
Bama seems to think they have an offensive juggernaut as well.
right now I'd say bama is favored but let's get past the next 2 games and take a look at these teams.
we are a ground and pound team. But with Harris and the speed we have we have other options that we have been using. I for one believe that the passing game is coming along. the receivers won't keep dropping the ball. IMHO. If Harris improves just a little, that means he'll be finding the open guy 10-15 yards down the field more regularly.
this staff has shown that they are capable of coming up with a helluva game plan if they believe they have to do more than line up with power and run.
I'm content to wait till bama gets here - but bama is heating it up over on the SEC rant.

we hardly line up with two te. People just make shite up. We only do that in very short yard situations. Just like any other team.

No reason for them to think otherwise. Until we can show that we can have success doing anything other than just in a power run game, no reason for them to be worried about our pass game or anything else we might do. I would have to agree with them at this point. Unless we can get some semblance of a pass game going before the bama game, I fully expect us to get crushed by bama. We are not going to have success simply lining up and running into the teeth of the bama front 7.

Believe this - Les wants to beat them bad this year, is loaded with talent that hasn't been maximized up to this point, and they will see things that we haven't yet shown.
If we roll into Tuscaloosa undefeated, expect the Hatter to bring it.

not what we actually do but everyone here knows what you mean. We are going to try to overpower teams and run right at them regardless of what they do on defense. Everyone in the stadium knows what is coming at them and we dare teams to stop it. That's fine against most of the teams on our schedule, but it's not going to work against a team whose defense is loaded with players who will soon be playing in the NFL. LB's Reggie Ragland, Rueban Foster, Denzell Duval, and on DL A'Shawn Robinson, Jonathon Allen and Jarren Reed. Plus they have a lot of talented highly recruited depth

The problem with most LSU fans is that they consider the season, the Quarterback, the coach, their career, and even their entire lives a failure if the football team cannot beat Alabama

hopefully we do both this weekend. Focus on getting some sort of consistency in the pass game and build on some of the things we were doing in the run game against Auburn. Hopefuly we don't just scrape by with another win without really accomplishing anything this weekend. We need to clean up the penalties, work on expanding the offense, and get a win.

Really? Because the fans focus on a specific game makes so much difference to the team. Fans can talk about any game they want

Well sure they expect that along with most of the country, sans homers. Saban's gonna commit to stopping the run and unlike most teams he has the horses to do it. Whether or not we can soften them up remains to be seen

They should be expecting more shotgun read option. That's going to be our bread and butter for that game. They've always had trouble with running QB's, even Jennings last year.
