The Alabama referees myth

There are 12 teams in the SEC who have had less penalties called on them than Alabama, LSU being one.Alabama is tied with Missouri for having the most calls against them.

You're ignorant and dumb

They are ranked for the # of penalties. Looking at the rank doesnt tell the whole story. You have to look at the yardage & when they happened. For example, a missed holding call on a potentially gw drive compared to two holding penalties that didnt change the outcome.

Ok, I'll play.
Tell me how a pass that Patrick Peterson picks off, has complete control of the ball, BOTH feet clearly in bounds, is called an incomplete pass for the offense. Even after it's reviewed!
Explain that to me.
Not even called an interception, which it clearly is. It's called an incomplete pass, as if Peterson wasn't even there.
This is just one of many examples.
Alabama rarely gets called for anything, particularly holding or PI. Gimme a break.
If it's anything, it's a false start or delay or something like that.
But for their opponent, regardless who it is, the refs always seem to be "flag happy."

SEC refs on the Clinton foundation board

They're also third to last in the entire country in penalties called against their opponent, meaning their opponents have fewer penalties called on them than all but 2 teams.

So bama having more national championships than any other sec team and the sec office being in bama, that's just coincidence right?

Look at every other year.

And they foul more than any other team I watch play.
Late hits, unsportsman like conduct. It is complete bullshite.
Ive seen back to back drives where a Bama defender crushes a QB out of bounds and no call. Then the opposing team barely nicks Bama qb at end of run and gets thrown out of game.
Be it known, ye soloman, there is no myth. It is a living, devouring stench that oozes from that state between Mississippi and Georgia.
We all know it, hate it; but have not figured out how to defeat it. Perhaps Nov 5th, perhaps.

So when facts are provided the reply is changed from not how many but the when???
I also see someone continue to use the Peterson interception. What about the lsu db that shoved a Bama wide receiver with full arm extension and then intercepted the ball in the end zone? And if you don't think Bama doesn't get called for PI then you haven't watched any Bama games. Refs make mistakes. That is all it is. They miss calls against teams Bama plays as well. How many holding calls are called against opposing offensive lines? 1 vs UT. NONE vs multiple other teams. Are you telling me that no one is holding against Bamas d line? SURE

blah blah blah gump....nothing but excuses. youre blind to it.

The easiest way to see the deliberate cheating is to watch where the refs spot the ball at the end of each play. When bama is on offense, the refs will generally give them an extra half yard. Bama on defense, the refs spot the ball a half yard back. Like everything else, it is situational. If bama needs the help, they will get it from the refs.

When and where penalties are called are just as important on the number. Bama favoritism is alive and well. I would have to do more research for facts but I'm certain that entering the fourth quarter vs ATM they had one penalty. They ended up with over 5 but not until the game was out of reach. I still go back to the personal foul two years ago called on Vadal inside the 5 yard line or the PP7 pick called OB.
