14 innings on Sunday. Travel 4 hours to Shreveport for a Tuesday game. Come back home for a come from behind win on Wednesday. Travel to Oxford on Thursday.

It's not like they got blown out. They were one hit away from several big innings. The pitching is a concern, but don't jump off of a bridge yet.

However, barring a couple of SEC sweeps, we may need to win the SEC tournament now to get a top 8 seed.

LSU will be fine season-wise.

But please don't use traveling as an excuse. Yea you bussed on Thursday, but the team did nothing on Friday......at all. Rain out = days rest.

Bottom line is that we did not have the best weekend and Ole Miss beat us fair and square.

Time to let it go and look forward to next week.

Need to close the season strong and try to pull off a title in the SEC tournament.

I'll be rooting for you guys to do this. Ole Miss doesn't have the pitching depth(I say that ), so I seriously doubt that we'll make it to Sunday at Hoover.

Our pitching is not as strong this year as it needs to be, but if we get our left fielder back from injury, it should help our offense tremendously.

It looks like Ranaudo hasn't really recovered from his injury like he was before. Not saying he isn't 100%, but it looks like he just hasn't been able to get back in the groove like he was.

Teams get worn down at times in the year. They will get their legs back under them because they only have 3 more mid-week games left.

LSU spent this week without Mahtook, who had been sick, Dean was nursing a sore hamstring, Gibbs caught 32 innings last weekend. LSU will bounce back.

Most important thing, IMO. And as hard as it is for me to say this, congrats on the sweep.

Good post, I'm still going to advocate moving Ott into the starting rotation.

It's baseball, injuries or not some time the better team loses. It's all part of the game and it could have gone either way with a play here or there. LSU could have had some clutch hits to pull out one or two games of the series but it just didnt happen. O well, move on to next week and start the charge toward Omaha.

The level of douchebaggery on the field for Ole Miss today was insane. I really despise them now and cant wait to beat them in the SEC tourney

You would expect a program that has not been to Omaha in 40 something years to not show a little bit more respect to a team like LSU. Keep pounding your chest about regular season wins Rebels. If you want, I'm sure the guys in LSU's dugout will show you the national championship rings.

It's really laughable the way they acted (home run celebrations, bow and arrow from the dugout, etc.) See ya in June.

So when someone hits a home run, you should stay in the dugout and pretend like nothing happened?

bow and arrow from the dugout,
That was childish. That would embarrass most high school teams.

Wow...you guys need to chill out about our dugout activities. It's baseball.....quit taking it so seriously. Why do you care what we do in our own dugout?

The only homer celebration that ticked me off was the one to centerfield today by Snyder, dude stood there and admired it, i wish they'd have plunked the next guy

I agree. 3 4+ hour trips (4 counting tonight), 2 extra inning games, and not to mention getting up and going to class. It has been a really long week for them. I think after some rest they will be fine.
