Finally got a tight end involved... Etling scanned the field and looked for the open reciever. Didn't key on one guy like our past 2 starters. We were in conservative mode those those last 2 quarters. Can't wait to see etling with a full body of work.

Pretty sure that play was designed for Smith and was the 1st option.

He overthrew a WIDE open Guice in the 3rd. A good QB would have made sure he got the completion.

Truth be told, Guice should've caught that ball. He was more worried about 6 than just making the catch. Layout, make a play.

Stevey,

Never said he was perfect but very promising. Even good qb's miss passes. Im sure you could hit the broad side of a barn with your noodle arm.

Guice could've probably gotten two hands on that ball and brought it in and turned it into a TD. But yeah, slightly overthrown. But not 5 yards overthrown like he had on a 3rd and 2 down the sideline. forgot who the target was on that one, but he was pissed about it coming off the field

Good QBs make sure they make completions to wide open guys.

Dude he was 6-14 100yds. That is not very good. The offense did play A LOT better when he was in there I will say.

Yep...better to underthrow that a little to make sure you get the completion. He was trying to throw the perfect pass and hit him in stride and he missed by about a foot.

Etling was 6-8 for 100 yards and a TD at half. They were mixing it up with screens and passing to Tight Ends. Then in the 2nd half, Cam went back to his crappy play calling and it was either hand off or throw it deep. That is the same plays they call for Harris. If they continue to do that, it will be more of the same.
