Matt I really appreciate all that you do with the numbers bub. You and I have both been on this site for a long time. I don't post anywhere near as much as you do but I do read the posts often. Some negatigers started asking the "what if we lose to arky" threads and, while you never believed it was going to happen, you took it upon yourself to help calm so many people down. Now that the tigers took care of business you are still "crunching the numbers" to appease a lot of nerves. That is pretty awesome for you to do and something you sure as hell are not getting paid for so I just want to say thanks man. You are a real gift with purchase for this sight.

Totally AGREE. Yet again, proof that an LSU education is an amazing thing.

Who to Pull for Thread (Posted on 11/26/11 at 9:50 a.m.) I think LSU makes the NC game no matter what happens in Atlanta, but pull for LSU's opponents (SEC teams - especially against the ACC, Oregon, Western Kentucky) if you want extra breathing room. It seems like most folks are hoping that LSU doesn't play Bama in the NC game. If Bama beats Auburn, I still think Ok State has at least a shot if they beat OU. Ok State's biggest problem is Va Tech who is already ahead of them and has potentially 2 decent wins to come. Stanford is an issue too, but if push came to shove Ok State would likely jump them in most ballots.

If Va tech drops a game, I think they have a great chance. They would only need ~25% of voters to put them over Bama.

Do you think Houston could have a chance to play if:

Auburn > Bama
OU > OSU
UVA > Va Tech
ND > Stanford
Wyoming > Boise

Or would that make Arkansas the most likely for having the best 2 losses?

Matt, is there any way LSU moves to #3 or lower in the BCS with a loss to UGA putting us out of the BCS completely?

I think Houston would probably go over all 2-loss teams and 1-loss Boise

I can't fathom anything happening in Georgia to knock us out of the NC game.

Falling to #3 and having to go to cap one bowl would be absolutely crushing. I think we roll anyway, but I'll trust you and request off of work for the 2nd week of January
