If they won, would be tough for us.

No it wouldn't. Texas does not impact LSU at all.

Not really. We are 24 hours away from being a lock.

Some threads just aren't warranted. This is one of them.

Jesus H Christ. Some of y'all are unbelievable. Learn how the selection process works before starting a ridiculous thread.

On a more related note Javan Felix herp derp'd...we got some better guards to come in over him I'd say. He was a bust at PG so they moved him to SG a bit, 5'10 SG

Of course it impacts LSU. Any other team on the fringe losing is a benefit.

I was under this impression as well if we were to drop the ball tomorrow.
Maybe I'm wrong and we want all the other bubble teams to win??
Doesn't make much sense to me....

People are just being dense and insecure. We want bubble teams to lose. We have an RPI of 50, and absolutely no idea what the committee will value.

No.

But I'm glad they lost.

LSU has an RPI of 48 and a 2-1 record against Top 25 RPI and a 5-2 record against Top 50 RPI.

I'm sure the selection committee couldn't care less though.

They're are some "tards" in this thread but the op isn't one of them.

unless you think LSU is a lock you want as many other bubble teams as possible to lose.

wtf why is everyone jumping this guys case?
Chill the frick out.

If texas would have won and we lost to auburn there's a small chance they leave us out for them.

With that being said, I'm in the position we are w 85% lock today. It was 95 before a&m lost. Another auburn loss looks awful on the resume.

Because he said if Texas won, it would be tough on LSU. Which is simply incorrect.

Texas needed that win to get IN. They may still have a chance now, but it has nothing to do with being tough on LSU.

As real bubble teams fall left and right, the narrative stays the same with you guys. There is nothing that can be said, linked, demonstrated by experts or anyone else that sways your thought. It's futile.

I know this scenario is impossible, but if Texas would have won and secured the last spot in the tournament after LSU would have lost to Auburn, wouldn't that mean LSU doesn't get in? So isn't it a good thing that they lost? I don't think OP is stupid.

It certainly affects LSU even if it's minimal. Four bubble teams right behind LSU lost today. It's been a great day for LSU.

Agreed. Internet badasses like to jump on people as soon as they see blood. I don't think this thread was unwarranted at all. In fact I was txting Elleshoe as the game was going on cheering for a texas loss.
